Pool users will receive information through their athletic directors, coaches and/or organization today regarding practice and competition schedules, according to the district.

District Works on Pool Compliance

The stipulated agreements allow the district to use pools at both schools while working with Illinois Department of Public Health to gain compliance plan approval.

The district says its board and Superintendent, Dr. Prentiss Lea, are committed to working with Illinois Department of Public Health to bring the and Vernon Hills High School pools into compliance before the June 1, 2012 deadline.

District thanks users, schools for support

“I would like to thank all of our parents, students, staff and swim community for their patience and support throughout this process,” Lea said. “We are very appreciative of your collective efforts in working toward both a temporary resolution and permanent solution to the swimming pool compliance problem.”

Lea also extended a special thanks to Mundelein and Stevenson high schools for making their very busy swimming pools available to District 128 swimmers while the district pools were closed.

“We greatly appreciated their efforts to accommodate the LHS and VHHS swimming programs during our time of need,” Lea said.
