District 128 Receives Bright A+ Award

The award places the district among the top 5 percent of Illinois school districts academically.

Community High School District 128 has been named a 2012 recipient of the SchoolSearch 14th annual Bright A+ Award for academic excellence. The District is one of only 59 Illinois school districts (out of 868) to receive the award, placing it among the top 5 percent of Illinois school districts academically. District 128 has received this honor annually since the award’s inception.

The Bright A+ Award is based on the ACT composite score of all students tested. Districts with an ACT composite of 23.4 or above qualified for the award. The District 128 ACT composite score is currently at a record historic level at 25.3. The Libertyville High School composite is tied for record historic level at 25.3, while the VHHS ACT composite has increased to a record historic level at 25.4.

The Illinois state average ACT score is 20.6 and the U.S. average is 21.1.
