District 70 Invites Community to Interactive Tech Demo

Libertyville Elementary District 70 has worked for several years to outfit classrooms in its five schools with the interactive technology.

 is inviting parents and community members to walk through a demonstration of interactive white boards on Sept. 20.

.

The demonstration will take place on a 36-foot-long vehicle loaded with interactive technology that adults and children can touch and learn about. The RV is equipped with a model interactive classroom with dual pen boards and an interactive tool wall.

Promethean staff will be on hand to answer questions and demonstrate how the technology works.

Over the last several years, the district has worked to put interactive whiteboards in all the regular classrooms in its five schools. The cutting-edge technology is widely embraced by students and has moved its way into many businesses as well.

The bus will be at the following locations on Tuesday:

  • 8 to 11 a.m. at , 1441 W. Lake St.,
  • 1 to 4 p.m. near both  and schools at 310 W. Rockland Road.
