Consumers Credit Union Hosts Free Seminar: “Home Buying Made Easy”

No-cost educational program is open to the public on March 21st

Libertyville, IL, March 6, 2012:  Are you in the market to purchase your very own home, yet feel a bit discouraged by all the challenging economic news we hear each day?  If you (or someone you know) answered “Yes,” Consumers Credit Union (CCU) has some good news to share about home buying at our “Home Buying Made Easy” seminar on Wednesday, March 21, 2012:  “Home Buying Made Easy.”  This no-cost workshop is open to the public, and includes easy-to-understand answers to questions about financing options, purchasing options and more.

“Interest rates are at historic lows and homes are selling at bargain prices – an ideal combination for anyone considering buying a home,” said Sean M. Rathjen, CCU President.  “While rates are low today, they surely won’t stay this way forever, which has many folks interested in buying their dream home right now.  At the same time, purchasing comes with many questions, whether you’re a first-time home buyer or someone who’s been through the process before – and ‘Home Buying Made Easy’ has your answers!”

Presenters include experts on how to find the right home, how to finance your home and more.  Gil Chavez and Lucas Frantz from CCU’s Mortgage Department will explain the pros and cons of the many financing options available. Kevin and Janine Walsh of the ReMax Showcase Group will provide suggestions for determining the value of their prospective new home, tips for handling paperwork and other useful information to help make home buying the joyous experience it should be. 

“Home Buying Made Easy” is open to the public as well as credit union Members at no charge on Wednesday March 21, 2012, at the Ramada Inn in Waukegan, IL, starting at 6:00pm.  The seminar is produced in conjunction with Consumers Cooperative Association and Consumers Credit Union.
