Deadline Fast Approaching For Six $1,500.00 Scholarships From Consumers Cooperative Association

Applications for CCA scholarship must be received by December 31, 2011

Libertyville, IL, November 29,  2011:  The deadline is rapidly approaching for students wishing to apply for one of six (6) $1,500.00 scholarships available to local high school seniors on pace to graduate in 2012.  The scholarships are offered by Consumers Cooperative Association (CCA), the sponsor of Consumers Credit Union (CCU; $550 M. Waukegan, IL).

It is their guiding hands that will shape the decisions of tomorrow and ultimately light the way for achievements. ”

Applications are available at area high schools, at all six Consumers Credit Union locations and online at www.myconsumers.org.  Valid applications must include the student’s official high school transcript through their junior year, along with a copy of their first semester grades from the current academic year.  Applications must be received by December 31, 2011. 

High school students scheduled to graduate next spring are eligible to apply for one of the six (6) $1500.00 scholarships, as long as the applicant and/or parent/guardian has been a Member of Consumers Credit Union for a minimum of one (1) year. Applicants will be evaluated on academic performance, financial need and leadership abilities, including community involvement.  To be considered, applicants must complete an application and submit a non-returnable photo.  Those students awarded scholarships will be featured in an upcoming issue of CCU’s newsletter, The Reporter.
