Julie Damenti Sworn In As School Board Member

“I’m really proud to be a part of something that’s run so well,” Damenti said. “I’m really looking forward to having an opportunity to work alongside Guy (Schumacher) and help him keep doing amazing things with our schools.”

The board chose Damenti from six candidates on Aug. 10, after a special executive session. She has three children attending District 70 schools, served on two family association boards, and directed the Family Associations of District 70 board. She also has a background in finance, accounting, human resources and real estate.
“It seemed a natural progression with the knowledge I have of the district, my experience and my background,” she said.
