LHS Students Receive Honors at State Leadership Conference
Libertyville High School Students were honored at the 62nd Illinois Future Business Leaders of America State Leadership Conference.
Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) members and sponsors from Libertyville High School attended the 62nd Illinois Future Business Leaders of America State Leadership Conference on March 25 and 26.
More than 1,200 members, sponsors, and guests from 72 Illinois FBLA chapters were in attendance. The two-day state conference included activities in personal development, business and leadership training, election of 2011-2012 state officers, and competitive events.
During the awards program at the conference, LHS FBLA members won the following individual, team, and chapter competitive events:

1st place in Global Business – Sandeep Balasubramanian and Tanmay Adya
1st place in Cyber Security – Manuel Bardina

2nd place in Business Financial Plan – Kathleen Morris and Alice Zhu
2nd place in Digital Design and Promotion – Samantha Chow and Roserry Yu
5th place in Business Plan – Naveen Rajadhyaksha, Jay Russo, Adam Ahmad
5th place in Computer Problem Solving – Daniel Xu
6th place in Public Speaking II – Sarah Fahey
9th place in Client Service – Caitlin Fahey
Other FBLA members in attendance were Abbie Bennett, Nishad Phadke, and Thomas Gutheil.
Students who earned a 1st or 2nd place in their respective events have qualified to compete at the National Leadership Conference this summer in Orlando, FL.
