Libertyville High Looks for Funding for Solar Power Program

The high school added to its roof and is now looking to expand the program, according to the Daily Herald.

A new grant could help pay to expand a solar-power project at Libertyville High School, according to a Daily Herald article. 

As part of its science curriculum, District 128 added photovoltaic equipment to the roof of Libertyville High School, which helped "collect the sun's rays and turn them into usable electricity," and is now looking to apply for an Illinois Clean Energy Community Foundation grant to buy more equipment for Libertyville High and Vernon Hills High, according to the article.
