Libertyville High School Pool Passes Inspection

The pool passed the Illinois Department of Public Health inspection; county inspection set for May 24.

The swimming pool have passed Illinois Department of Public Health inspection.

In passing IDPH inspection, the LHS pool has now met the requirements of the Virginia Graeme Baker Pool and Spa Safety Act. Before reopening, the LHS pool must be completely filled with water and required chemicals added and balanced, prior to required annual Lake County Department of Public Health inspection. The county inspection is scheduled Thursday, May 24. Following successful completion of the county inspection, the LHS pool will be available for use again.

The Vernon Hills High School swimming pool compliance repairs are ongoing, and should be completed early next week. IDPH inspection is tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, May 23. Assuming that the VHHS pool repairs are approved by IDPH at that time, the VHHS pool must be completely filled with water and required chemicals added and balanced, prior to required annual county inspection. The county inspection is tentatively scheduled for Friday, May 25. As at LHS, once the annual county inspection is completed and approved, the VHHS pool will be available for use again.

LHS Athletic Director Briant Kelly and VHHS Athletic Director Brian McDonald will facilitate and coordinate pool re-entry efforts with District 128 swim staff, CATS Aquatics, and other pool user groups.
