Libertyville High School to Host NBC 5's Prep Destination

 In a wild final hour of voting, foes from the North Suburban Lake conference held on and Lake Forest-Libertyville will be the host of the NBC 5 "Prep Destination of the Week."

Four different lead changes in the last hour put the Scouts and Wildcats in the spotlight while Libertyville prepares to send off . This will be the Wildcats final scheduled home game.  

NBC 5 will bring cameras to Libertyville High School early Friday to highlight the game of the week after edging out the battle of Wheaton by 86 votes. The North-South elimination game in Plainfield finished in 3rd with 2,929 votes.

After more than 17,000 tallies this week, the popular segment has collected more than 100,000 total votes since August. The goal is to highlight all the essentials for casual prep followers and fans of both teams to help them find the school if they haven't been there before, where to park, locating gas and food, etc.

Libertyville has been a playoff mainstay, taking home the 2004 Class 7A state title under Kuceyeski. He'll be coaching his final regular season home game for the Cats on Friday night.

Lake Forest returns to center stage on NBC 5 after being featured in Week 8 in 2010 prior to a win over an unbeaten Vernon Hills team that had not been scored on until that point in the season. 

Come early to Libertyville and be ready to cheer, bring your signs and your school spirit.
