Vallari Named to Dean's List at Clemson

Tristan David Vallari of Libertyville has been named to the Dean's List at Clemson University for the fall 2012 semester.

Vallari is majoring in Civil Engineering.

To be named to the Dean's List, a student achieved a grade-point average between 3.50 and 3.99 on a 4.0 scale.

Ahern Named to Hope College Dean's List

Lauren Ahern was named to the Dean's List at Hope College, Holland, MI. She is a former Libertyville High School student.

Top scholars at Southwestern College in Winfield and at Southwestern College Professional Studies have been announced with the release of the Dean's Honor Roll for the fall 2012 semester. Full-time students who earned grade point averages of at least 3.70 (4.0 equals an A) were eligible for the honor.

William Stone, of Libertyville, is included on the list.

Southwestern College is a private institution granting undergraduate and graduate degrees and is affiliated with the United Methodist Church. More than 1,700 students attend classes at the main Winfield campus, at five professional studies sites in Kansas and Oklahoma, or online around the world.

 

Libertyville Residents Among 898 Named to Augustana Dean's List

898 students have been named to the Dean's List at Augustana College for the 2012 fall term. Students who have earned this academic honor have maintained a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher on a four-point scale for courses taken during the term.

Students from Libertyville—and one from Green Oaks—include:

  • Megan Bystol, a junior majoring in anthropology, internatinal business, and French.
  • Sara Fitzgerald from Green Oaks, a junior majoring in mathematics and mathematics education.
  • Anna Groebe, a senior majoring in classics and religion.
  • Briana Hays, a sophomore majoring in communication sciences and disorders.
  • Daniel Michniuk, a junior majoring in biology and pre-medicine.
  • Grace Vente, a sophomore majoring in mathematics.

Founded in 1860, Augustana College is a selective four-year residential college of the liberal arts and sciences. Augustana is recognized for the innovative program Augie Choice, which provides each student up to $2,000 to pursue a high-impact learning experience such as study abroad, an internship or research with a professor. Alumni include 140 Academic All-Americans, a Nobel laureate, 12 college presidents and other distinguished leaders. The college enrolls 2,500 students and is located along one of the world's most important waterways, the Mississippi River, in a community that reflects the diversity of the United States.

Michaelides Earns Spot on Dean's List at Cornell

Cornell University's Roger Michaelides has been placed on the Dean's List of the College of Arts and Sciences for Excellence in Scholarship for the Fall 2012 semester.

The College of Arts and Sciences is Cornell University's largest undergraduate college. It provides a high-quality liberal arts education to its own students, and its courses are also accessible to all other students at Cornell. The college's faculty includes national and international leaders in their respective disciplines.
