Middle Schoolers Place in National Destination Imagination Challenge
Highland Middle School's Destination Imagination team proved they could compete on a national level.
Congratulations to Highland Middle School's Destination Imagination team, "That Team Over There," which placed ninth at the 2013 Global Finals held May 22-25 in Knoxville, Tenn.
The team won a trophy for the "In the Zone" technical challenge, which called for the students to design and build a small vehicle that used three different power sources, all while telling a story about the dangers a vehicle faces, from the vehicle's point of view.
Team members included:
Annika McDermott-Hinman, Mitry Anderson, Adam Sparks, Alex Dikelsky, Elias Anderson, Jacob Dikelsky and Andy Liu.
