Rockland Students Celebrate Learning to Read

On May 27, the students received their ribbons declaring, "I'm a Rockland Reader".

For the past 13 years, the teachers, staff and students at Rockland have celebrated the reading accomplishment's of 's first-grade class. Earlier in the month, each first-grader chose their favorite book, and then read aloud to Rockland Principal Jean LeBlanc.  

On May 27, the students recieved their ribbons declaring "I'm a Rockland Reader" and headed outside to join the rest of the school. Cheered on by teachers, family members and older class mates, the newest Rockland Readers released their balloons and joined the schools Circle of Readers.
