Liz Abderholden, Class of 2013, of Libertyville, received an honorable mention in the Spring 2011 Off-Campus Study Essay Contest. She shared her reflections on living in both London and Florence.

Joshua Bradley, Class of 2012, of Libertyville, received an honorable mention in the Fall 2011 Off-Campus Study Essay Contest. He was a participant in Lake Forest's Beijing Program.

Both Abderholden and Bradley are graduates.

All students who study on an approved off-campus program write reflections upon their return, describing the students' activities during their time away and, more importantly, how those experiences changed their perspective, and what they learned about a new environment and about themselves. These essays are automatically entered into the contest, which is then judged by Lake Forest College faculty and staff.
