Now that your child is back at school, what should you do if your child has a teacher that is causing headaches for both of you?

According to 's student handbook, if you have a question or a concern about your schools, your child's progress, or a problem that has arisen, it is the policy in to turn to the person closest to the situation.

If the concern pertains to your child, see the teacher first. If your concern is not responded to adequately, you have recourse to the principal, superintendent, and Board of Education in that order.

The Role of the Board of Education

The Board of Education's responsibilities are twofold: first, to establish policy for the entire district. If you have a question of policy, please check with your principal or superintendent first. He or she will advise you of the policy, and if you have a concern about it, how to go about bringing your concern before the board.
