Dog Days of Summer

Jumping Dogs Invade Libertyville

Libertyville’s Dog Days of Summer July 5-8th, will feature DockDogs-Big Air jumping Dogs, Frisbee Dogs, Lake County Sheriff K-9 demo, a 3K-K9 walk and more.  Bill Kaiser, owner of Pampered Pup’z and producer of Dog Days of Summer says, “This year’s schedule is the most exciting since we started four years ago and can be seen via streaming live video. The opening ceremonies will be held Friday, July 6th 6pm featuring local dogs running down a 40’ dock into a 27,000 gallon pool of water for the title of Libertyville’s Big Air Dog. Directly following from 7-10pm will be ‘Rock in Cook Park’ with music provided by Mickey Finn’s. And if that wasn’t enough, MainStreet will be having First Friday.”  Downtown merchants will be open late featuring wine, cheese & entertainment.

MainStreet Libertyville will sponsor “Ye Olde Downtown Treasure Hunt” Saturday and Sunday July 7-8th for fun and prizes. Downtown merchants have dog friendly shopping, a coupon walk, events taking place in their stores, and you can eat outdoors at any of Libertyville’s fine restaurants. Cook Park will also be hopping both days with Merchant sponsored events such as a Doggie Fashion Show by Serendipity, Pet Parade by How Impressive!, Breakfast in the Park by Caribou Coffee and much more.
