Whiz Kid: Cats Aqautic Team

The CATS Aquatic swim team, based in Libertyville/Vernon Hills, earned a third place finish out of 36 teams at the 2011 Speedo Winter Regional Championship meet at Barrington High School in February.

Close to 70 CATS swimmers earned the qualifying times necessary to compete at this championship meet. Medals were awarded to those who finished in the top 8 in each event.  Leading the way for CATS was Drew Petereit, Ryan Novak, Sophia Lex, and Justin Fu who each medaled in 5 events.
