I have to admit something to you, dear readers.
I've never really been to Libertyville Days.
OK, I went once with my brother several years ago and we just went on a couple of rides, and I walked in the parade a couple of times. But other than that, I've never really experienced Libertyville Days.
So I want you to tell me — which events/activities should I check out this weekend?
Here are a few I'm curious about:
- The Pet Pageant, which is slated from 3 to 6 p.m. June 17. According to the Libertyville Civic Center Foundation, first-place prizes will be awarded for Pet Owner Look-Alike, Most Patriotic and Most Creative. This sounds super cute! Have you ever entered your pet in the contest?
- The Taste of Libertyville, which will be held all four days of the festival. What's the must-try item each year?
- The Baggo Tournament. I'm not terrible at Baggo, but I bet there are a lot of serious players out there. Do you plan to enter this year's tournament?
What else should I check out at Libertyville Days? Tell me in the comments section.
By the way — look for me at the parade Saturday. I'll be handing out bottles of Patch bubbles to kids!
