Jazz Forum 2012 will be performed on February 4, 2012, at the College of Lake County in Grayslake, Illinois, at 7:00 p.m. in the James Lumber Center of the Performing Arts at 1931 West Washington Street, Grayslake, Illinois. Jazz Forum 2012 features members of Forum Jazz Dance Theatre (FJDT) who hail from various Lake County and Kenosha County communities.  FJDT, a not-for-profit youth dance organization, is based out of Talent Forum in Libertyville, Illinois.

The dancers’ contemporary repertoire includes a variety of styles developed by award-winning choreographers such as FJDT Artistic Director Eddy Ocampo, FJDT 2 Director Kim Fletcher Stibal, FJDT Ballet Master Brent Caburnay, Forum Training Company Director Richard Smith, and guest choreographers Autumn Eckman and Christian Denice. In addition, two FJDT company members, Gurnee senior Joey Columbus and Lake Zurich senior Kate Coleman, will have the opportunity to debut their own works.

“This show is always an exciting opportunity to see the diversity youth can obtain when introduced to master teachers. It always thrills me when FJDT brings such high caliber dance to their audience. Although they perform throughout the Chicagoland area and internationally, our dancers are most proud to bring it to a local venue,” says  FJDT Executive Director and Talent Forum Owner Shelley Page Hoselton.
