Looking for places to help those in need during this holiday season? Here's a list of organizations in Libertyville.

The holiday is a great time for giving and sharing with those in need, but it doesn’t mean you have to empty your wallet. There are several organizations in Libertyville accepting gently used items. This is a good opportunity to show kids the importance of sharing what you can, and a chance to clear the house of items you haven’t worn in a while, or toys that the kids have outgrown.

  • Drop off information: 359 Merrill Court, Libertyville.
  • Accepts: New personal care products, paper products such as toilet paper, paper towels, napkins, tissues, canned food such as meats, corn beef hash, stews and spaghetti sauce. Full wish list here.

  • Drop-off information: 14245 W Rockland Road, Libertyville. Donations accepted 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.
  • Accepts: New or gently used clothing, toys, furniture, jewelry, home décor, books, housewares, electronics, and shoes.

Lake County Haven

  • Drop-off information: , 314 S. Milwaukee Ave., Libertyville. Donations accepted during store hours.
  • Accepts: Gift cards, alarm clocks, cleaning supplies for the house, paper for fax and copy machines, household supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, tissue, umbrellas, bus or train passes.

  • Drop-off information: 413 N. Milwaukee Ave., Libertyville. Drop off items during library hours.
  • Accepts: Toys for Tots, canned food and new books.

  • Drop-off information: , 1101 W. Park Ave., Libertyville, during regular hours.

St. Joseph Church Food Pantry

  • Drop-off information: Behind the St. Joseph Formation Center, 112 N. Milwaukee Ave., Libertyville, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays.
  • Accepts: Only nonperishable food items still within sell-by date.

  • Drop-off information: 125 W. Church street (back entrance), Libertyville
  • Accepts: Clothing, small household items, nonperishable food items.

Creative Rehab

The wellness center is accepting items for women and children and will donate them to A Safe Place in Lake County, which helps women to transform their lives after dealing with domestic violence.

  • Drop-off information: 1781 Northwind Blvd., Libertyville.
  • Accepts: New, unwrapped items for the Holiday Store until Dec. 6. Full wish list here. General household items, toys, office and art supplies, and books will be accepted until Dec. 21. Full wish list here.
