What are your plans for the week?
Are you looking for something to do this week?
Maybe you want to donate money to breast cancer research at the Libertyville High School vs. Mundelein High School girls volleyball game. Or perhaps you want to check out the second-to-last farmers market of the year.
Whatever you decide to do, have a great week!
Board to Vote on Fishing Pier Replacement
Libertyville trustees are set to vote on the replacement of the Butler Lake fishing pier at their meeting Oct. 8. The pier was damaged beyond repair during the spring 2013 flood. Other items on the meeting agenda include the approval of the issuance of water and sewer bonds, and the issuance of road program bonds. The meeting will be held at 8 p.m. in Village Hall.
Breast Cancer Research Fundraiser
When the Libertyville High School varsity girls volleyball team takes on Mundelein High School Oct. 9, the teams and fans will raise money for the Lynn Sage Cancer Research Foundation. Funds will be raised during the volleyball game through sponsorships, t-shirt sales, breast cancer bandana/bracelet sales, and a raffle. The game will be held at 6 p.m. in the main gym at Mundelein High School. Click here for more information.
Farmers Market
The second-to-last farmers market of the year will be held from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 10 on Church Street. What's the best way to shop at a farmers market? Check out our handy guide here!
