Sports Complex Open House, 'Paint the Town Purple,' Village Board Meeting This Week

Sports Complex Open House

The Libertyville Sports Complex will host an "Open House & Member Appreciation Day" event from 5-8 p.m. Nov. 12. The open house will feature refreshments, raffle prizes, tours of the facility and more. Read more here.

'Paint the Town Purple'

Local businesses will hold their annual "Paint the Town Purple for Pancreatic Cancer" event from 5-8 p.m. Nov. 12 at Viva Le Vine Wine Bar, 338 N. Milwaukee Ave. The event honors former local resident Peter Pekkarinen, who lost his live to pancreatic cancer in 2012. Click here for more information about this event.

Village Board Meeting

The Village Board Committee of the Whole will hold a meeting at 7 p.m. Nov. 12 to discuss the budget, the five-year plan and the tax levy. That meeting will be followed by the regular village board meeting at 8 p.m. Items on the agenda include the tax levy and the sale of the Bolander property.
