Week Ahead: 'Dickens of a Holiday' and Save-A-Pet Open House

Save-A-Pet Open House

Save-A-Pet, located at 31664 N. Fairfield Road, Grayslake, will hold its 41st Annual Open House from noon to 4 p.m. Dec. 7. The event will feature pictures with Santa, holiday gifts and crafts, a raffle, a bake sale and a pet blessing. The pet blessing will take place at 2 p.m. 

Dickens of a Holiday

MainStreet Libertyville will host its "Dickens of a Holiday"festivities Dec. 17 and 14. The events will include a Victorian Tea from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. (reservations required), photos with Santa in Cook Park from 10 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3 p.m., a Children's Holiday Shoppe at Petranek's Pharmacy from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Ansel B. Cook Museum tours from noon to 4 p.m. (and from noon to 2 p.m. on Dec. 8 and 15). Click here for more information.
