Back-to-School Prep
Parents, there are lots of important back-to-school events taking place this week, from the fall preview at Highland Middle School Aug. 12-13 to the new family orientation at Butterfield School Aug. 15. There's also freshman orientation at Libertyville High School Aug. 14. Check out more events here.
Battle of the Bands
The Lali-Palooza Battle of the Bands will be held at the Lake County Fairgrounds at 2 p.m. Aug. 17. The event serves as a fundraiser and helps raise awareness of the prescription pill/heroin addiction issue. The event is held in memory of Alex N. Laliberte, a Buffalo Grove resident and Stevenson High School grad who died of a heroin overdose at age 20.
