The Lake County Fairgrounds will host the Lake County Home Improvement & Remodeling Expo Sept. 14-15. Admission and parking are both free for the event, which will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sept. 14 and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 15. Read more about this event here.

Corn Maze? Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!

The Richardson Corn Maze in Spring Grove has a Beatles theme this year. The 28-acre corn maze is etched with the images of Paul McCartney, John Lennon, George Harrison and Ringo Starr along with guitars, drums and an LP record and musical score. Read more about the maze here.

Ice Cream Social

The Libertyville Junior Women's Club will sponsor a Libertyville Juniorettes Ice Cream Social Sept. 15. High school girls are welcome to stop by and learn about volunteer opportunities, service hours, leadership and scholarships. The event will be held at 5 p.m. Sept. 15 at the Libertyville Civic Center, 135 W. Church St.
