Residents Voice Concerns Over Libertyville Warehouse Proposal
Libertyville Plan Commission postpones a vote on a proposed warehouse after hearing resident concerns related to increased noise, traffic and lighting.
The Village of Libertyville's Plan Commission heard a proposal from Chicago-based Bridge Development Partners, LLC to construct a warehousing distribution facility on 21 acres of land at 804 East Park Drive Monday, but decided to table a vote to approve after hearing residents' concerns, reported TribLocal. "Not in my backyard," said residents living near proposed site, according to TribLocal. Residents are concerned the facility could affect their quality of life as a result of increased traffic, noise and lights. The petitioner is seeking a special use permit for a warehouse and storage facility along Route 176 in the village's General Industrial District, in what is known as the Aldridge Business Center. All valis points. Why table the vote? Why not just vote no? Is this another case of Libertyville already having their minds made up? I guess if they drag this out hoping that the residents will fade, they can vote it through at some point, and say they followed due process.
