Burglary About 30 older Hewlett Packard printers were reported missing from the warehouse of a business in the 2100 block of West Tempel Drive on Oct. 25. An air compressor in the same area also was missing. Earlier in the week, an employee reported an unlocked rear door as he was coming into work in the morning. The loss was valued at $1,700. A patron at X-Sport Fitness, 1163 S. Milwaukee Ave., reported that someone broke the front passenger window of her vehicle on Oct. 26. A black lunch bag, which looked like a purse, was taken from the front passenger seat. No estimate of the loss was provided. DUI Maurice S. Burglary On Oct. 6, three businesses were burglarized in Libertyville. The businesses were Cosmo Prof, 886 S. Milwaukee Ave., a wholesale beauty supply distributor, Great Clips hair salon, 1774 N. Milwaukee Ave., and Il Nails Spa, 1768 N. Milwaukee Ave. The glass front door was smashed at each burglary. Nothing was reported missing at Cosmo Prof or Great Clips. Il Nails Spa reported the loss of a 50-inch television valued at $899, an iPod Nano valued at about $300 and 28 bottles of no-chip polish valued at $365. Police are investigating. Residential burglary Televisions and jewelry were stolen from a home in the 200 block of Woodland Road on July 6. Police reports say the glass on the door of an enclosed porch was broken to gain entry. No estimate of loss was listed in the report. Burglary to motor vehicle A purse was removed from an unlocked vehicle in the 800 block of Dawes Street during the night of July 8. The vehicle was parked in the driveway at the time of the theft. The purse and its contents were valued at $1,000. DUI John O. Bernard, 19, 27065 N. Longwood Drive, Lake Forest, was charged July 7 with driving under the influence of drugs, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and speed. Criminal Damage To Autos The owners of three vehicles parked in the east lot of the Moraine East Apartment complex, 832 N. Milwaukee Ave., reported that their windshields were shattered during the night of June 24. A baseball bat-type object appeared to have caused the damage. Police are investigating; no damage estimates were given. Criminal Damage To Property A large flowerpot was destroyed and another large white flowerpot and a black exterior light were stolen during the night of June 24 from Bottaio Restaurant, 946 N. Attempted Vehicle Burglary On June 8, police responded to an office in the 1000 block of West Park Avenue on a complaint of a possible vehicle burglary. The business owner told police she saw a man from her office window attempt to open her car doors. When she yelled at the man, he fled. Police later located Anton Herres, 19, of the 1000 block of Wellington, and he was identified. Police charged him with attempted burglary, a Class 3 felony, and he was held for bond court at the Lake County courthouse the following morning. Theft at Arrow Plumbing On June 3, police responded to a burglar alarm at Arrow Plumbing, 547 North Ave. Police found a work vehicle had been entered and copper fittings and tools valued at $100 stolen. The burglars attempted to flee but were stopped a short distance away when police blocked the roadway. Kenosha resident Craig Gascoigne, 39, and Round Lake resident Allen Meyer, 42, were arrested and held overnight for bond hearing. The judge released Gascoigne on a $50,000 bond and Meyer was remanded on a $100,000 bond to the custody of the Lake County jail.
