Calendar Shines Light on Libertyville Dogs
Local photographer captures the spirit of Libertyville and its furry friends.
After 10 years as a dog photographer, Randi Heimert, a long-time resident of Libertyville, recently debuted her first calendar: Hometown Hounds, Dogs of Libertyville. "It's all local dogs," said Heimert. "I teamed them up with local businesses and places in Libertyville." The seed for the calendar was planted two weeks before Dog Days of Libertyville, an event where the Village of Libertyville hosts activities for dogs and their owners in July. "Allison came up with this idea," said Heimert, referring to her friend Allison Wonderlic, owner of Motif on Milwaukee Ave. "She gave me the idea to do a calendar and I just ran with it."
