Reading books before is great because it helps you get a handle on some things you want to see once you are there. We read Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn books which made one of our best family trips Hannibal, Missouri! It doesn't sound glamourous, but as a kid to see the house where Becky lived and to go into the "same caves" that Tom and Huck went in - it was magical. I guess we were easy to please!!   more ›
