The University of Evansville is proud to announce that Kasey Michel of Libertyville, has been inducted into the newly-formed Indiana Alpha chapter of Nu Rho Psi, the national honor society in neuroscience. Michel, a Neuroscience major, officially became a Nu Rho Psi member during an induction ceremony held in UE's Eykamp Hall. To be eligible for membership in Nu Rho Psi, students must be a neuroscience major or minor, have completed at least three semesters of university coursework, have completed at least nine semester hours of neuroscience-related courses, and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or higher, as well as a minimum GPA of 3.5 in neuroscience courses. Brett Coburn of Libertyville, a student in the Creighton University College of Business, was inducted into the student chapter of the Jesuit Honor Society Alpha Sigma Nu, at its annual ceremony Feb. 3, in the Harper Center Hixson-Lied Auditorium. Membership in Alpha Sigma Nu is the highest honor bestowed on an individual from a Jesuit University based on criteria of service, loyalty and scholarship. Inductees are nominated by faculty, staff, administrators and Alpha Sigma Nu members who feel individuals are deserving of such an honor. Saint Mary's College, Notre Dame, IN, named Erin Taylor to the Dean's List for the fall 2012 semester. Erin is the daughter of Karl and Margaret Taylor of Libertyville.
