Whole Foods Kildeer Location Opens Soon

New grocery is about 10,000 square feet larger than Palatine location.

  The new Whole Foods Market, 20281 N. Rand Rd., Kildeer, will open on March 6. The destination grocer, focusing on organic and sustainable products, will hold an Opening Ceremony and doors will open at 9 a.m. Kildeer Village Manager Michael Talbett said Whole Foods store openings are a big event with people waiting in line for hours to get in.  Opening day details are still being worked out, said Tanya Kostetsky, marketing & community relations specialist for Whole Foods.   “We will definitely be providing food, refreshments and entertainment to make the opening morning be a celebration for the community. List of Lake County State’s Attorney Candidates Expands

Winter joins Kennedy in race; incumbent Waller has made no decision about his future.

The field of candidates to become Lake County’s state’s attorney grew by one Tuesday when Waukegan attorney and Lake Barrington resident Bryan Winter said he would seek the Republican nomination for the job held by longtime incumbent Michael Waller.  Waller, also a Republican, has not said whether he would seek another term. He did not return calls to Patch on Tuesday for comment. Winter said he made his decision anticipating the position would be open. Lake Forest lawyer and Libertyville resident Chris Kennedy announced his candidacy for the Democratic nod Thursday.  While Kennedy has specifically criticized the lack of a conviction integrity unit in the state’s attorney’s office to make sure DNA evidence is used to increase certainty …
