Local Pasta Company’s Sales Rise
Foulds Inc. sees steady growth during downturn.
Libertyville manufacturer, Foulds Inc., is an example of a business that can make it through the downturn. Despite the gloomy economic landscape, the privately held pasta company is seeing gains and expanding its distribution. "Activity levels and sales are up," said Chris Bradle, president of Foulds. "The last couple of years have been good for us." Foulds began as a milling company in Cincinnati in 1885. In 1905, the company moved into a former ladder manufacturing building on Church Avenue in Libertyville. The company now produces products such as macaroni and cheese dinners, egg noodles, and spaghetti.
