Video: District 70 Poet Series - Katie Lund

Six students from Adler Park School had their poems published in "Award-Winning Young Writers of America-2011."

Six students in gifted education classes at Adler Park School had their poems published in a student anthology, Award-Winning Young Writers of America-2011. In the fourth part of the series, we get to hear Katie Lund read her poem and learn what inspired her poem. The students in Michelle Salm’s fifth-grade class wrote poems about The World as I See It, Salm said. The contest was called the 2011 Midwest Regional Young Writers of America Student Poetry Contest. Other students who also were published in the book were: Alison Tong, Ben Sutter, Katie Stahnke, Nate Sweitzer and Kate Roleck.
