Maybe you're looking for a fun post-Valentine's Day activity to do with your significant other. Or perhaps you want to have a "girls' day out." Or maybe you just want to check out all that Libertyville has to offer. No matter the reason, MainStreet Libertyville's annual "Let's Wine About Winter" wine walk seems like the place to be. The wine stroll, which drew about 1,200 people last year, is slated for 1 to 4 p.m. Feb. 16 throughout downtown Libertyville. For just $25, participants will receive a glass, a map of where to sample various wines and a $10 merchant coupon that can be used on a return visit. Wow, that's keeping it friendly Lisa! When I said carnival...I was thinking along the lines of the one in St. Paul. There could be outdoor skating in Cook Park, there could be snow themes in all the stores, cocoa for kids/grownups, food, etc. And I love your comment that everyone goes out to restaurants afterwards...to what, sober up? Doubt it! But I'll follow your instructions...and stay home.   more ›
