ReplyAll I know is that my township takes better care of the roads and keeping them clear during the winter then any of the towns around me, the county or the state do for what they are responsible for. If any of them could provide the same levels of service then I'd agree to eliminate the township. History has shown they can't, at least for the last 20 years.

ReplyAt the hearing’s conclusion, Strickland told Stone that her behavior that day had convinced him that Shuman’s concerns were valid.
I think she's lucky he didn't find her in contempt; but, I bet if she continues the incoherent ramblings at the criminal trial he will toss her in the clink for contempt. Is it all that 'odd' that none of her 'friends' were there to appear on her behalf? Does she have any true friends left or just those, as was mentioned previously, are afraid to 'incur her wrath'? Ms. Stone, please get some help before someone has to go to court to have you put away before you harm yourself or others!

ReplyThe mugshot seems to make it appear that all of this is having a negative affect on Ms. Stone's physical health. No more tan ... looking a bit thinner too.

Reply"The lady doth protest too much, methinks." comes from Shakespeare's Hamlet, Act III, scene II, where it is spoken by Queen Gertrude, Hamlet's mother. The phrase has come to mean that one can "insist so passionately about something not being true that people suspect the opposite of what one is saying."[1] This usage of the phrase is based on a misunderstanding of the meaning of the word "protest" as it was used in Shakespeare's day, as the "protest" of the lady is not a protest in the modern sense of the word, but an affirmation or avowal.[2]
The phrase's actual meaning is, "I think the lady is promising too much."

ReplyShe used to be just the 'villiage idiot' but continues to spin out of control in her own little world where she is the 'saviour of all' and the only person that knows what is right. She needs help and, as was mentioned, maybe it will take a court order to get her the help she so obviously requires.

ReplyWell ... Craig's List ... it's 'buyer beware' ... no surprise whatever it was wasn't as 'pristine' as it was advertised. Now as for leaving a car running unattended for 45 minutes ... isn't there a law against leaving a motor vehicle unattended while running? What did they expect? Oh well, you can't cure stupid!

ReplyBGR ... Agreed ... he messed up and the law is the law. Just odd about 'the timing' of the challenge. I'm just hoping the write in option actually brings out voters and they, if they choose, use it. As it was prior to that ... why vote? 3 open seats ... 3 candidates ... results guaranteed those 3 keep their seats.

And it's low voter turnout that got The Princess, VBG's 'local activist' elected in the 1st place. As they say ... if you don't vote ... you've no right to complain.
