About Jan
An Illinois native I was born in Chicago, grew up in Des Plaines, taught at Jack Benny Junior High in Waukegan and have lived in Libertyville since 1975. I am the mom of Libertyville chiropractors, Dr. Jordan & Dr. Jade Leasure of North Shore Pro Active Health on Lake Street (how "Mom" of me right?). I have been a journalist since 1980 and am the creator of $uper $aver, a money saving nationally syndicated feature that is now a blog @ www.jan-leasure.com and www.extreme-couponing-tips.com . (I hold the distincton of shopping with my friend Judy Pittenger also of L'ville at the time where I bought $800 worth of groceries & the store paid me $77 to haul them home). I am also a loan officer and the branch President of Diamond Residential Mortgage on 533 N.
