What I don't get about "Lemony" is his handle. Lemony Snicket aka Daniel Harder is about as liberal as you can get, a secular humanist who actively supports Democratic candidates and causes. He is also actually funny.

There are no arrows at that corner. The left turn from Rt. 137 onto Rt. 83 there is extremely sharp, and the tracks are obscured from view. That said, it's still hard to imagine someone not seeing the gates and RR lights before rolling onto the tracks. But I could see where it would happen.

Funny how quickly people forget. Personally, I thought the Softball City land would've made an excellent site for a minor league baseball stadium, back in the day when independent clubs like the Schaumburg Flyers were thriving.

Tom Meskel's a good guy, retired h.s. teacher, former D127 board member, also my neighbor for about 20 years. I thought he was an excellent candidate. I know Karen pretty well, too - fellow baseball parents - and while I believe she'll do a fine job, I think she must have a masochistic streak to actually want the position for another 2 years.
