Police Blotter: 21 Vehicles Damaged at Dealerships; Alcohol Arrests

The Libertyville Police Department reports arrests and crimes from June 18-25.

These incidents were among the official reports of the Libertyville Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that decision.

Alcohol

Andrew T. Gregory, 20, of 624 S. Dymond Road, Libertyville, was charged with illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor June 24 on the 600 block of South Dymond Road. He was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond pending a July 5 court date.

Michael S. Jensen, 22, of 1130 Loyola Drive, Libertyville, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol June 25 on Winchester Road near Milwaukee Avenue. He was also cited for DUI over .08 and improper lane usage. He was released on his drivers license and a $1,000 personal recognizance bond pending a July 26 court date.

Criminal Damage to Property

Fifteen vehicles were damaged sometime between June 23-25 at Weil Cadillac, 1050 S. Milwaukee Ave. The vehicles were scratched along the driver's side from the front quarter panels to the rear. 

Six vehicles were scratched sometime before June 25 at Napleton Ford, 1010 S. Milwaukee Ave. Police are investigating. 

Drugs

Carey A. Schiever, 24, of 1624 Churchill, Green Oaks, was charged with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia June 18 during a traffic stop on Winchester Road near Parliament Court. He was also cited for speeding and unlawful possession of cannabis. He was released on a $120 personal recognizance bond pending a July 17 court date.
