Police Blotter: Man Arrested for Driving 40 Above Speed Limit; Battery Arrest

The Libertyville Police Department reports arrests from Sept. 9-15.

These incidents were among the official reports of the Libertyville Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that decision.

Alcohol

Kelsey E. Kaminski, 26, of 206 Briar Lane, Lindenhurst, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol Sept. 15 on the 600 block of Innsbruck Court. She was also cited for DUI over .08, resisting a police officer and operating an uninsured vehicle. She was released on her drivers license and a $1,000 personal recognizance bond pending an Oct. 11 court date.

Battery

Tiffany M. Ramos, 24, of 18 Meade No. 5, Fox Lake, was charged with battery - bodily injury Sept. 14 following a fight in the parking lot of Downing's Tavern, 431 S. Milwaukee Ave. She was also cited for battery - insulting/provoking nature. She was released on a personal recognizance bond pending an Oct. 9 court date.

Traffic

Jose G. Garcia, 44, of 1702 Chestnut, Waukegan, was charged with not having a valid drivers license Sept. 9 near East Sunnyside and Prairie Avenues. He was also cited for disobeying a stop sign. He was released on cash bond pending an Oct. 16 court date.

Megan O. Martinez, 23, of 527 Kings Road, Fox Lake, was charged with driving while license suspended Sept. 10 near West Park and Douglas Avenues. She was also cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. She was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond pending an Oct. 16 court date.

Hannah E. Harrington, 27, of 2301 W. Greenwood, Waukegan, was charged with driving while license suspended Sept. 13 on the 200 block of East Park Avenue. She was also cited for driving while vehicle registration suspended and operating an uninsured vehicle. She was released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond pending a Nov. 20 court date.

James C. Flynn, 20, of 1873 Crenshaw, Vernon Hills, was charged with speeding over 40 miles per hour above the posted speed limit Sept. 15 on Route 137 near Route 45. He was also cited for underage consumption of alcohol and zero tolerance. He was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond pending an Oct. 9 court date.

Gustavo V. DeLeon, 37, of 16 E. Old Willow Road, Prospect Heights, was charged with not having a valid drivers license Sept. 15 near Milwaukee Avenue and Rockland Road. He was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond pending an Oct. 16 court date.
